Accept that others may question your choices on how you spend your time and resources. It might not seem to make much sense to poor out your treasures and labors into some barren ground. Yes, I spelled the word "poor" intentionally; we are NOT doing this because we are going to make a profit (although we wouldn't mind) Really, this is about a dream, a bit ethereal it may be, that we can contribute to healthy community and a larger good.
I don't know whether these imagined benefits will be worth the cost in dollars, time and sore muscles, but we want to find out.

Ella and I admit we are newbies in this adventure. There is a big difference between reading about a thing, which we've done for many years, and actually doing the thing. As opposed to those homesteaders who are veteran swimmers knocking out laps in the Olympic-size pool, we are hanging out in the kiddie pool with our floaties on. But hey, we're grateful to be in the water....
You will never know if you don't try. If you don't try, you most likely always wonder if you should have.
